Phew!! My bathroom makeover. It’s finally over and our new bathroom is now finished. Yay! So, for the past couple of weeks I’ve been dealing with tilers, that just didn’t turn up, plumbers that couldn’t plumb and decorators that double book themselves. And the snagging list goes on and on and on. Seriously, does it really have to be this hard?
And on top of that Willis left me to deal with everything. He said he was too busy? More like, he couldn’t be arsed to deal with the somewhat dodgy tradesmen. Thanks Willis, you owe me.
So, after weeks of frustration, tears (mostly real and a few crocodile ones added in for drama) and numerous arguments with everyone, and I mean everyone (sorry Willis). I’m pleased to say it’s now finished.
But before the big reveal here’s what our bathroom looked like before……..
Not exactly a hotel bathroom is it? Check out the manky old carpet that was starting to smell, thanks to Z’s little wee accidents. A bath as old as my gran would have been and sink that was simply rubbish. And let’s not forget those lovely tiles!! And because I’d over spent on the budget, Willis told me I had to take off all the tiles and the wallpaper including the ceiling myself? Sorry Willis I didn’t quite hear that! It wasn’t exactly a glamorous job but needs must and all that.
And now for the drum roll please……Ta Da! And here’s what it looks like now.
Bath from UKBathstore
The encaustic floor tiles are from Mosaic Del Sur . Check out my post on geometric tiles for more information about these tiles and other fantastic geometric tiles.
The gold mirror is from Made.com
The wall lights are from a fantastic Belgium company called Wever & Ducre Their selection of lights are amazing! So if you’re looking for lights you have to check them out. And on top of that their prices are pretty cool too!
The brushed gold basin and bath taps are from Vado. Check out my post on gold taps and other cool looking gold taps.
So what do you think? Not bad for a first timer? Note to Willis: maybe you should have a little more faith in me. Smiling lots!
Well I hope you like it and would love to hear your comments. x
